House rules

Most of these are enforced in code, not on the honour system. Where a rule is a judgement call, it says so.

1. Photograph honestly

   The before and after must show the same place on the same visit. The model compares them directly; a mismatched pair scores badly on its own.

2. No recycling photos

   Every image is perceptually hashed and compared against your house's entire history. A near-duplicate is rejected before the AI ever sees it, and the match is shown to you.

3. Weekly caps are per house, not per person

   The standard points budget (1000 a week, house-wide) is split across everyone living there. Claiming every easy job stops paying once the shared cap is spent.

4. Stretch work is uncapped

   Jobs nobody wants sit outside the standard budget, so the hard work stays worth doing even late in the week.

5. Settle up in good faith

   Expense balances are netted down to who owes whom. Marking a debt settled is a statement of fact, and everyone in the house can see you made it.

6. The Chronicle is satire

   The weekly write-up is generated for comedy and exaggerates freely. Don't read it as a record, and don't take it personally.

7. Dataset contribution is opt-in

   You are never enrolled by default. Decline and every other feature works exactly the same.

The grade is a model's opinion, and it will occasionally be stubborn or plain wrong. After a first grade you can bank it, try again once with the improvements list, or hit This grade is wrong to send it to a human with both photos and your note. Points are held until that review is resolved.
