The loop
Repeat weekly-
Photograph the mess
Open the chore, hit the camera. Your phone's own camera — there's no app-inside-the-app to fight. This is the "before".
-
Do the chore
The unglamorous part. ChorHaus cannot help you here.
-
Photograph the result
Same spot, same angle. This is the "after", and it's the only evidence that counts.
-
Get graded
Both frames go to a vision model, which scores how much actually improved and says why in writing. Pass, and the points land in the house ledger.
What's in it
Everything, free, for nowAI verification
A vision model compares before and after, scores the real improvement, and explains its reasoning in plain words.
Photo anti-cheat
Every image is perceptually hashed and checked against your house's history. Re-submitting last month's clean counter does not work.
A points ledger
Every award is a permanent entry. Weekly caps split the standard budget across roommates, so hoarding the easy jobs stops paying.
Stretch work
The genuinely grim jobs sit outside the standard cap. The oven gets what the oven deserves.
Expense splitting
Log what you paid for. Balances net down to who actually owes whom, in whole cents, with no rounding drift.
Leaderboards & rivalries
Rank inside your house, then against other houses on your campus or in your neighbourhood using a join code.
The Weekly Chronicle
Each week your house gets a generated tabloid write-up of its own behaviour. It is not flattering. That's the point.
Symmate, the coach
A resident AI that has read your ledger and has opinions about it.
Before you sign up
The honest bits- Your photos go to a third-party AI. Chore images are sent to Google Gemini for scoring. Don't photograph anything you wouldn't hand to an outside service — documents, screens, other people.
- House data is shared by design. Everyone in your house sees the chore history, the scores and the expense ledger. That is the whole mechanic.
- The Chronicle is satire, and it's generated. It invents things for comic effect. It is not a factual record of anyone's behaviour.
- Scoring is a model's judgement call. It will sometimes be wrong, generous or harsh. It settles arguments about chores, not anything that matters.
- This is a free public beta. Expect rough edges, and don't treat it as your only record of money owed.
